December 5th: Lisa McPherson memorial?

The anniversary of Lisa McPherson's death is coming up. It would be great if Clearwater anons could plan a special protest in memory of her, not just the usual 11:00-4:00 protest. We'd probably be able to get a lot of the people from the Lisa McPherson trust to join us for one, long, epic protest. Plus a lot of regular Clearwater citizens still do a candlelight memorial for her when the sun goes down. If Anonymous was there, we'd definitely make an impression on people. Still, if we do this, it would have to be a very well-planned protest. Maybe noon to whenever the candlelight service ends. Can it be done?

Okay, so we don't have to protest with the LMT. Big deal. We can always do the candlelight thingy far away from any church or scilons, though that may be difficult, considering the city is infested with them.

Look. NONE of the Clearwater Cell is interested in being handed that injunction and being taken to court and being told we also have to abide by that injunction. We prefer to not stupidly end up having to hire an attorney to fight something that's not our fault.

I'm sorry that the people involved with the Lisa McPherson Trust decided to act in the manner that they did and end up with a stupid injunction against them.

We were told from Day One by the Clearwater Police Department to avoid anyone from the LMT injunction because if the cult sees us with anyone named on that injunction then the cult will serve us with the injunction.

Shawn Lonsdale found out the hard way about that.

People who are named on that injunction are people we cannot and should not protest with.

Our first protest was in honor of Lisa McPherson on Feb. 10, 2008. We've left flowers on her brick, an Anon got down on his hands and knees and cleaned her brick, and we take every new protester into Gaslight Alley to see her brick---along with Roxanne Friend and Congressman Leo Ryan's memorial bricks.

Most of the Clearwater Cell would rather not be in downtown Clearwater after dark. For some of us it's just not convenient to stay late and for the rest of us? Well, it's that creepy thing going on downtown.

If the people listed on that injunction want to go up there for a candlelight vigil along with other citizens then that's their right. I wouldn't suggest any Anon attend that event.

Then how about we hold a memorial away from the LMT? Heck, that might even be better, since we could probably do it closer to the church. By her brick, perhaps? Or, would that also be impossible?

Look, truth is, I've never been to a protest. EVER. The closest org to me is in Clearwater, and that's about 2 hours away. I've been fighting Scientology for a long time now, and I learned that I JUST might be able to make it to Clearwater this December. Better yet, December 5th falls on a Saturday, a perfect chance to memorialize Lisa... again. I probably don't know a lot about what I should or should not do there, besides most of the obvious stuff. For the past 8 months or so, I've just been watching protests on youtube and learning about Scientology on WWP. Is there anything I should know about what goes on in Clearwater so that I don't make any dumb suggestions?

It's not really a "dumb suggestion". It's just that we've had to argue with people about this LMT injunction since Chanology started. We've had trouble with one particular person named on the injunction and people who are friends with her: Patricia Greenway. She has tried to insinuate herself into our protests a couple of times and we've had to fight about this on the message boards of the old enturbulation site and also on why we protest. I am not OG and I am not an ex-sci so my "problem" with Greenway has nothing to do with old grudges from years ago. My problem with Greenway or anyone else listed on the LMT injunction is that if I'm seen protesting with them or even seen with them in the downtown area by the cult then I'm going to be served with that injunction. Greenway spent Feb. 10, 2008 being driven around downtown Clearwater while shouting out the names of Scientologists who were standing in front of buildings or driving around watching us. Greenway was then predominantly featured in one of the very first articles written about Anonymous which was in Radar Magazine. Everyone else was so happy that Anonymous had been in that magazine except for those of us who lived in Clearwater. We knew it wasn't good for us that Patricia Greenway and Peter Alexander had spent time driving the Radar Mag reporter all over Clearwater and insinuating herself into an article about Anonymous.

As I have said many, many times: if Patricia Greenway wants to protest Scientology or become involved in Chanology then she can go anywhere else and protest: Orlando was going strong at the time she was trying to weasel her way in here at Clearwater. Greenway seems to have enough funds to get herself to an Orlando protest from the Tampa Bay area---it's not that much in gas money. I've done it myself. However, she never went to Orlando or anywhere else trying to protest. Every now and then one or more of her "buddies" will try to start in about her again and Clearwater once again has to fight her and her "friends".

I did not see where Jeff Jacobson said that it was "okay" for us to protest with people named on the LMT injunction. Is this in a post on wwp or was it in a private message to you? If it is posted somewhere on wwp, I would like to know so I can tell him that what he is saying is NOT true. A few of us have been in contact with Jeff more than once about Lisa and her brick.

Most of what you need to know is listed on the November 14th protest announcement. I guess the only thing I would elaborate on is if the cult doesn't know who you are and you wish to remain anonymous then you need to park far away from the downtown area and either walk into downtown---not a good idea if you aren't in fairly good shape because you need to remember that we have to march here in Clearwater so there's going to be a lot of walking---or you need to take a city bus into downtown. I would actually walk blocks away from where you park to catch a bus so that if you are followed on the bus you won't be right where your vehicle is parked. WEAR COMFY SHOES THAT ARE EASY TO WALK IN. We had one newb show up in tennis shoes, but with no socks. They ended up with a horrible blister right after the first march and had to sit out the rest of it. CWA can tell you that I made the rookie mistake myself once. Ouch.

We will choose our protest date at the end of the Nov. 14th protest. How we determine that date depends on work and/or school schedules for the people who are at that protest. The date will be posted that day so everyone can start planning. I can't promise that the date will be Dec. 5th. We can suggest it, but if most of the people can't make it that day then the next protest will be another day.

It will be a lot cooler in December, and if we plan ahead, we should have enough money to take care of hungry anons. So I definitely think we can do this. This will be my first protest, and I'm rather excited to get to see the Ft. Harrison, Lisa McPherson's brick, and to get to protest against a cult that I've been opposed to for years. I have a camera I can bring, so I can capture any bullbaiting $cifags on film. Maybe I'll meet Epic Starbucks Boy! Ooh, I can hardly wait!
